West Palm Beach, Florida Seaboard Airline Railroad Station

     The West Palm Beach Seaboard Airline Railroad Station is located at 203–209 Tamarind Avenue.  It officially opened on January,1925.  The architects were Harvey and Clarke of Palm Beach. The building style is Mediterranean Revival.

     The station was served by the Orange Blossom Special until 1953.  It was served by the Silver Meteor beginning in 1939.  Currently, it is served by Amtrak and Tri Rail Commuter. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on 6/19/1973.

     The station was purchased by the City of West Palm Beach in 1988. They planned a restoration project for 4.3 million. They hired the architect firm of Oliver Glisten and Partners for the project.

     Elements of the project included restoration of ornamental cast stone elements, exterior masonry, doors, windows,iron and tile works.  The red tile roof was replaced.  The electrical, lighting, plumbing, heating and AC were updated. The station was rededicated in April, 1991. In 2012 the city replaced the surrounding side walks.

    Currently, the station services Amtrak and Tri Rail Commuter Line.

    Deerfield Beach Station is located at 1300 W. Hillsboro Boulevard.  It was built in 1926.  The style is Mediterranean Revival with arched entryways, arcades.  There is a barrel tiled roof. It has 2 platforms.   It also currently houses the South Florida Railway Museum.  It was listed on.the National Register of Historic Places on April 5, 1990.

Seaboard Airline Railroad Station Auburndale, Florida

     The Seaboard Airline Railroad Station in Auburndale, FL is one of two stations that were present in this  City.  It was built in 1927. It is a Mediterranean Revival style building with a masonry vernacular.   Architect was L. Phillips Clarke.   It was originally located at the corner of Pilaklakaha  Avenue and Pearl Street. The station closed in 1993.   The city purchased the station with the goal to use it as a municipal building.  The building was relocated to the former site of the Atlantic Coastal Line Station.  It has been used as a municipal building since 2002

Apopka Seaboard Airline Railroad

   The first station was a brick building built in 1887 to service the Tavares, Orlando and Gulf Railroad.  This was as destroyed by a tornado in 1918.   This was replaced by a wooden structure in the same year. It too serviced the Tavares, Orlando and Gulf Railroad. The line was eventually acquired by the Seaboard Airline Railroad.

Apopka Seaboard Airline Railroad Depot

    The Seaboard Airline Railroad Terminal was constructed of pine wood. There was a freight bay and two passenger areas.  It was located at 36 East Station Street in Apopka.  The line was used for freight and increasing passenger service.    The passenger service waned in the 1930’s.  A bus route to larger terminals was established.  At one time the depot was used for storage by a nearby meat market. It was renovated and used as a warehouse.  It was listed on the National register of Historic Places on March 15, 1993.

Archer Railroad Station

     The railroad station in Archer, Florida was constructed prior to 1900.  It was built  y Seaboard Airline Railroad.  It was built to service a rail line between Fernandina and Cedar Key which was constructed between 1859 and 1861 by David Yule.  The first  official name was the Florida Railroad; it later was called the Florida Central and Peninsular Railroad.  Eventually, it became the Seaboard Airline Railroad.

     The Station is now owned by the Archer Historical Society

   The Hialeah Seaboard Airline Railroad depot is a historic building located at 1200 Southeast 10th Court, Hialeah, Florida.  It was constructed in 1926.  The architects were Harvey and Clarke.  Similar to the station at Naples, the building style is Mediterranean Revival.  The Orange Blossom Special served the station until 1953.  The Silver Meteor served the station beginning in 1939.  Passenger service ended in 1972.

     In 1989, South Florida Regional Transportation Authority began Tri Rail service to Hialeah.

     The station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on 7/14/1995
