     The Saint Lucie County Regional History Center, aka Saint Lucie County Historical Museum opened in 1968.  It is located at 414 Sea way Drive, Fort Pierce, Florida. It overlooks the Indian River in Museum Park Point. Originally, it was under the control of the Saint Lucie County Historical Comision. Control was transferred in 1988 to Leisure Services/Parks and Recreation Department of Saint Lucie County.

     One of the museum buildings is built as a replica of the former FEC Fort Pierce Railroad Station.  The museum features artifacts,photos of the  Fort Pierce area from Indian tribes, early settlers and businesses.

The Gardner Home

     The ground also contain the Gardner house built in 1907.  It was built for the Gardner family.   It was donated to the museum in 1985.  It was originally located at 327 Magnolia Avenue. Construction costs were $1200.

     The house had high ceilings and a crucified floor plan.  It was built by A. A. Register.

     This bridge spans the Manatee River between Bradenton and and Palmetto.  This bridge is a pony plate girder type. It is a single leaf  bascule bridge.  It is normally in the open position for boat traffic.  The bridge is automated with no bridge tender.The main span measures 125 feet.  The entire structure is 3520 feet in length.

     FEC Port Mayaca Florida lift bridge is a pony through plate girder bridge over the Saint Lucie Canal.  It was built by Waddell and Harrington of Kansas City, Missouri. It was used by FEC Railroad, South Central Florida Express, and South Central Florida Railroad.

     The Saint Lucie Canal is a man made structure built from 1916 to 1924.  The canal is 8 feet deep. It was built to divert flood waters from Lake Okeechobee to the south Fork of the Saint Lucie River into the Saint Lucie Estuary, a component of the Indian River Lagoon.  There are locks and dams at either end of the canal.

     Seminole Inn aka Seminole Country Inn is located at 15885 SW Warfield Boulevard, Indiantown, Florida.  It was built for S. Davies Warfield (President of Seaboard Airline Railroad) in 1926. The architect was Harvey Henry Stephen  Building style was Mediterranean Revival. Construction costs were $66,000.  Originally, the inn was used to accommodate guests of Warfield and railroad dignitaries.

     Over the years, the Seminole Inn was owned by by the Wall family.  They did multiple renovations of the building over the years.

     The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 31, 2006
