The Cathedral Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi is a Roman Catholic Church located in downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico. Its address is 131 Cathedral Place. The church was built under the guidance of Archbishop Jean Baptist Lamy.
Construction of the Cathedral lasted from 1869–1886. It was built on the former site of an older church built in 1626.
The building style is Romanesque Revival. Round arches are separated by Corinthian Columns. There are truncated square towers. Both the rose colored window in the front and the lateral naive windows of the 12 apostles were imported from Clermont-Ferrand France. The outside walls of the church were built of yellow limestone blocks. The Cathedral Basilica was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 23, 1973.
