The 42nd Precinct Town Hall Police Station is located at 3600 N. Halsted Street in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago. Construction started on the building in 1906; it was completed in 1907. Costs were $35,000. The architect is unknown. It is one of the older police stations in Chicago.
It is a 2 story brick and stone building. It is rectangular in shape. Style is Classical Revival. The exterior facade is symmetrical. It features copper fornices.
The building was abandoned in 2010 due to a newly constructed replacement.
This building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on January, 2013.
