     The old Almonte post office is located on a triangular lot on the corner of Mill and Little Bridge Streets. Its address is 73-77 Mill Street. The architect was Thomas Fuller. The builder was Robert Cameron.

     The building was constructed between 1/1/89 to 1/1 /91. The style is Romanesque.  It is 2 and 1/2 stories. There is a steep gable roof. There is a variegated stone pattern.  Beckwith limestone was used for the foundation. North Elmsley sandstone was used for the exterior walls.

     A four faced clock was added to the building from 1913–1916.

Interior San Miguel Mission

     San Miguel is a Spanish Colonial mission church first built in 1610. The building was rebuilt once in the mid to late 17th century and again in 1710.

     It is constructed of adobe.  Style is  Romanesque fortress style with buttressed walls.  There is a singular rectangular nave.  There is a trapezoidal apse. The walls are 5 feet thick. The interior of the building is 24 feet by 70 feet. The height is 25 feet. The ceiling is supported by wooden vigas some of which are old and others newer.  The front faces west and has a small central bell tower. The building is supported by 5 stone buttresses added in 1887.

Wooden altar screen.

     The altar screen is wooden and dates to 1798.  It is thought to be the work of an artist known as Laguna Santero.  The screen is flanked by Solomonic Columns.

     There was a bell that hung in the tower prior to 1872.  It is on display on the inside of the building.  It was casted in 1856.

     The Cathedral Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi is a Roman Catholic Church located in downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico.  Its address is 131 Cathedral Place.  The church was built under the guidance of Archbishop Jean Baptist Lamy.

     Construction of the Cathedral lasted from 1869–1886. It was built on the former site of an older church built in 1626.

     The building style is Romanesque Revival.  Round arches are separated by Corinthian Columns.   There are truncated square towers.  Both the rose colored window in the front and the lateral naive windows of the 12 apostles were imported from Clermont-Ferrand France.  The outside walls of the church were built of yellow limestone blocks.  The Cathedral Basilica was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 23, 1973.
