The Wild Turkey Strand Preserve is located at 11901 Rod and Gun Club Road, Fort Myers.  It is 3137 acres making it the third largest conservation preserve in Lee County.

     The preserve includes part of former Buckingham Army Airfield.  A concrete ammunition storage building is present.  There are also gun turret bases from the old Buckingham Army Airfield.  There is an 1.8 mile trail and boardwalk.  The land for the preserve was obtained in the first decade of the 21st century.

     Pinewood Trail Park  is located at 5901 Pine Island Rd. NW,Bookela, Pine Island.  It ie a relatively new park. It opened in 2016.  It is 8 acres.  There are slash pine trees, Palmetto prairie salt marsh and mangroves.

     There are two trails.  Pine Loop is paved and is 1/3 mile.  There are informational signs along this trail. Holly Way is an off shoot of Pine Loop Trail.  It is 1/4 mile long.  It is an unpaved primitive trail

This hotel was built in 1925 by brothers Mike, Rocco and Joseph Pavese.  Apparently, this was originally known as the Seminole.  It was located at Jackson and Lee Streets, Fort Myers

    The Tuttle Residence is a house designed by Paul Rudolph Sarasota School of Architecture) in 1984.  Construction was completed in 1986.  It is located at 652o Swan Creek Road in Rockhill, Maryland.  The house was built for Wylie F.L. Tuttle, an American real estate developer.

     Th house is located on a 240 acre site.  It overlooks Chesapeake Bay.  In addition to the house, there is a swimming pool, a private beach, and  a horse stud farm.

     The residence is 12,500 square feet.  The exterior is brick.  The roof is copper. The house has a custom laminated wooden structural frame with a trapezoidal shape.

     There are two main living spaces connected by a passageway that serves an art gallery.  There are 7 bedrooms and 6.5 baths spread across a 3 level floor plan.  There are two fireplaces and a three car garage.

     The residence is currently for sale.

   Recently, Cold Stone Creamery opened a store in Merchant Crossing Shopping Center in North Fort Myers

    This park was built in 1972 and is located at 4500 Harbor Boulevard, Port Charlotte, Florida.  It was renovated in 2013.  It is a 16 acre beach park.  The construction project was funded by the 1998 Sales Tax and Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program Grant.

     The park includes sheltered waters, boardwalk, fishing pier, boat ramp, canoe and kayak launch, basketball courts,n tennis courts, volleyball court, playground area, shelters with picnic tables, heated swimming pool and recreation center.
