The Laurel Road Pedestrian Bridge is a dedicated bike and pedestrian bridge located in Nokomis, Florida just north of Venice.  It carries users of the Legacy Trail safely over the busy traffic of Laurel Road.

Key Facts About the Bridge

     Purpose was built to eliminate the need for trailer users to       stop at a street level traffic signal, making the trail safer           and reducing car delays on Laurel Road.

      Size: the bridge is 90 feet long and 12 feet wide.

      History: Designed by Patel, Greene and Associates. It was          built by the Florida Department of Transportation, it                  officially opened to the public in December, 2018.
