Huntsville Canada Swing Bridge

      This bridge carries Main Street over the Musako River.  It was built in 1938. It was built by the Hamilton Bridge Company of Hamilton, Canada.  The bridge type is metal rivet connected polygonal Warren Pony truss, movable swing center bearing center pier and approach span: concrete rigid frame fixed.  The swing feature of the bridge no longer is operational.

     The main span length is 175 feet. The structure length is 240 feet.  There is one main span and one approach span.

   The bridge is featured in many scenes in the movie A Veterans Christmas.

     There wa apparently a prior bridge at this site.
