Carl Schurz is a Chicago Public High School.  It is located in the  Irving Park  Neighborhood.  The address is 4340 N. Milwaukee Avenue.   The school is named after Carl  Schurz,  a German American soldier and statesman.  The school opened in 1910. The construction costs were $5000,000.   The building was designed by Dwight Perkins.  Its style is a combination of Chicago and Prairie.   Capacity was 1,4000 students.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on 2/22/2011
