The Loyola Station Red Line is located at 1200 West Loyola Avenue.  The current facility is the third at this site.  The first was built in 1908.  Its entrance was at Loyola Avenue.  That station was rebuilt in 1921.  The station was rebuilt in 1980–1982.  Its entrance was on the west side of Sheridan Rd.  More recently, the station was remodeled in 2012-2013.  A plaza was added at that time.  The station has a Dunkin Donuts franchise and a newstand.   At one time, there was a McDonald’s Restaurant.

The platform is narrow and approximately 1000 feet in length. It is elevated on a fill and island between North and southbound tracks.
