This multistory building was constructed in 1925 for Zahn Department Store. It operated at this location until 1981.  The building remained empty for many years.

     Recently, the building was renovated for use as a boutique hotel, the Verdant Hotel.

Lighthouse Gallery and Gifts

     The building at 306 Main Street Racine, Wisconsin is a two story structure.  It was constructed in 1883.The roof is tar and gravel.  The walls are brick.    The style is Commercial Vernacular. It was previously as a bar.

     Current occupant is Lighthouse Gallery and Gifts.

Frauenthal Center

     The Fraud dual Center is located at 425 W. Western Avenue, Muskegon, MI.

     This theater was built in 1929 by movie mogul Paul Schlossman.  Cost was $600,000. It was originally named the Michigan Theater.  The architect was C. Howard Crane.  The building style was Moorish.  There were golden accents, cherubs and griffins.  Ceiling and walls had ornamental light fixtures.  Carpet and opera chairs were covered with velour. Many ornate carving arches and intricate plaster works abound.  Ceiling was surrounded by plaster shells.  There was a large dome the center of the ceilings.  The theater was built as a talking movie venue.
