The U.S. Grant Monument is located on 2045 Lincoln Park West in Chicago, Il. The statue was commissioned in 1885 and completed in 1891. The artist was Louis T. Rebesso.
The statue was cast in bronze by Chicope Bronze Works. It consists of 22 metal pieces

Illinois Beach State Park (aka known as Adeline Joy Geo-Karis Beach State Park) is located at One Lake Front Drive, Zion, Illinois. It stretches miles along northern Lake Michigan in Illinois. It provides a full range of recreation opportunities.
It is the only remnant of beach ridge shoreline left in the state. There are dunes and swales, marshes., oak forests and a vast array of animal life and vegetation.
The park is 4160 acres divided into 2 separate areas north and south. The park offers swimming, boating, picnic areas, fishing, hiking and camping.
The park features a resort the Illinois Beach Resort and Conference Center.

Kenosha Southport Lighthouse
The Kenosha Light Station was also known as the Southport Light Station. The ground complex consists of a lighthouse and adjacent keeper house. It is located on Simmons island, north of the channel into Kenosha Harbor.
The lighthouse was built in 1866.The foundation is stone and the walls are Milwaukee Creme Brick. The lighthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The height is 55 feet.It was deactivated 1906-1966.
The light keeper house is adjacent to the light house. It was also built in 1866. It was 2 stories. The brick wall was made of Milwaukee cream brick. The building style is Greek Revival. There were additions to the building in 1907.
