The Gary, Indiana City Hall was built in 1927.  The original architect was George Maher. His plan was for a Prairie style building. Unfortunately, he passed away before the project could be completed  (suicide).      His son Phillips Brooks Maher took over the project.  His plan was for a neo classical 4 story building.  There  were Doric colonades  and a dome.

    It is a 2 story u shape building with yellow stucco on hollow tile.   It had 26 rooms and a lobby with a fireplace.   It has sat empty for many years and has signs of damage.
