Construction of the Original Mira mar apartments began on October 6, 1922.  It was completed on January 1, 1923.   The apartments were 2 stories. There were 71 apartments in the project. The building was constructed with wood framing. Reinforced concrete was used. Plumbing was steel. Construction used fireproof materials. There were shaped parapets,viva r after ends, and over arched windows.

   The developer was Andrew McAnsh from .   The architect was William Krieg from Chicago. Building style was Mediterranean Revival.  Average rent for an apartment in Florida in 1923 was $60.
