This hotel was located at 37-67 South Palm Avenue Sarasota.  It was built by Chicago industrialist Andrew McAnsh. The architect was William Krieg. Construction started in 1923 for the hotel.  It was concluded in 1924. It was six stories tall. Building style was Mediterranean Revival. 

    Construction materials included wood framing  which provided the structure framework.  Stucco was used for the exterior walls.  The stucco had a pebbly texture (dash stucco).  There were also cypress sidewalk canopy.

     The Miramar was closed in the 1960’s sat vacant for years. It became  the Main Palm Plaza Building.  For a short while it was a retirement hotel   It was  demolished in 1982-1983.
