Roth Cigar Factory Building

     Roth Cigar Factory Building was located at 30 Miramar Court Sarasota.

     In 1913, the Roth Brothers began their production  at a factory and news stand at 220 Main Street, Sarasota.  In 1920 Edward Roth acquired land for another Cigar Factory. Construction began in 1922 and completed in 1923.

     This.new building was designed by Thomas Reed Martin. It was 2 stories.  The style was Spanish Revival.  The facade featured arched openings. It was masonry covered with stucco. The building was used by the Roth Brothers until 1938. For a while is was a wholesale tobacco building.   Cigars produced at the factory were Brand Little Dixie, Simpatica, and Havana Smoker.

Over the years, the building was used by Table Style.Grocery, Goodyear, Artist Studio, Filmmaker Floyd Johnson, Leroy Wills Design Studio, restaurant with a roof top bar.
