Towles Court was a historic art center that dates back to the 1920’s. It was a thriving area for professionals and seasonal residents. By the late 1970’s, the area fell into disrepair. In 1995 a developer N. Olivieri began to revive this area as an artist colony. At one time, the area had 50 working artists and 25 galleries.
Currently, the area centers around the building called Towels Court Art Center at 1930 Adams Lane. It was built in the 1920’s. It was developed by William Towles. Style is old Florida. The building is used by 9 artists
