This District includes the John Ringling Estate,Charles Ringling and Hester Ringling Lancaster Sanford Estates and the  Ellen and Ralph Caples  Estate as a historic district in Sarasota, Fl.  This District borders are Sarasota Bay, Tamiami Trail, Parkview Drive and North Shore Drive.  It includes 18 historic buildings and 5 other structures.

     Three estates are part  of New College Campus. 2 Hester Ringling Lancaster Sanford estate and Charles and Edna Ringling estate.  These are currently being used for college functions. Caples Estate now undergoing renovation to be used for college functions

  The main building is the house.   East of the estate is a 2 story stuccoed masonry garage and apartment. The garage is 3 bay and has a tiled hip roof. A 2 story bay stuccoed masonry storage shed stands west of the.garage.

     The Charles  and Edna Ringling Estate include the residence building.  Out buildings include carriage house ground keepers house, barn.

     Robertson Hall is the financial aid and admission office of New College.  It was built in the 1920’s.  It served as the carriage house and chauffeurs quarters for the Charles Ringling estate.

    The Social Science Building was one of the original buildings of the Charles Ringling Estate. It was built in 1925.  This 2 story structure was originally used as the Caretaker House.

     Today it is used as the Social Science Main Office and for faculty offices
