Sunshine Skybridge

     The Sunset Skway Bridge is also known as the Bob Graham Sunshine Skyway Bridge. It consists of a pair of long beam bridges with a central cable stayed bridge.  It spans Lower Tampa Bay.  It connects Saint Petersburg to Terra Ceia.

     The bridge opened in 1987.  It was designed by Figg and Muller Engineering Group.  It was built by the American Bridge Group.  It is the second bridge at this site.

     The bridge carries 4 lanes of I 275/ US 19.  The total length is 4.1 miles.  Width is 94 feet.  Height is 430 feet.  Construction costs were 244 million dollars.
