McClurg Building

     The McCourt Building is located at 245 Main Street, Racine, Wiconsin.  It is a 4 story brick building   It was built in 1856. It was designed by Alexander McClurg.  The style is a combination of Renaissance and Italianate.

     The offices of the Racine and Mississippi Railroad were once located in this building.  Other occupants were first public library, municipal court, vaudeville and movie theater, Turkish Bath and vocational school
