This building was constructed in 1956 as a show room for Venice Lumbar Company.   It was built of stucco covered concrete blocks and brick.  There is a shallow gable roof.   Front facade has large areas of fixed plate glass.   It is currently used as Seaboard Office Park

   The Hotel San Marco was commissioned by the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Construction was completed in 1926. Costs were $300,00. Style is Mediterranean Revival.  The building is a 3 story structure built with concrete block reinforced with steel.  The blocks are stucco covered.  The roof is red tile.  The concrete blocks and red tile were produced locally.      When it opened, it had 92 rooms and 13 retail shops on the first floor.  The building was unused after 1928 due to financial down fall.  It remained empty until 1932.      It reopened as part of the winter campus of KMI Institute. From January to Easter, cadets were quartered in the upper two floors and the classrooms were on the first floor.  KMI operated at this site until 1970.

This building was constructed in 1926 by Harold Sawyer. It was a 2 story building. Contruction costs were $20000. The first floor was for Mr. Sawyer’s grocery store and meat market. There was room on the second floor for 8 offices. Woodroffe Investment Company and the Building Firm of Clark and Stevens occupied the upper floor offices The building was purchased by the First Baptist Church in 1934. The building was enlarged in 1936.
