  This is a Mid century modern Beach house built in 1953.  It was also known as the Hudson House.The architects were Ralph Twitchell and his partner  Jack West(Sarasota School of architecture.) It was constructed as Ocala block.

    It is 3 bedrooms and 2 baths.  It is 2104 square feet.

     The Lido Beach Casino was located on 2 acres of property on the beach formerly owned by John Ringling.   There was 1300 feet of beach front.

     It was built as a WPA project. The commission went to Ralph Twitch all (of the Sarasota School of Architecture). The project was finished in 1940.  The building style was art deco.

    It had a ballroom, swimming pool with a high dive. It featured concrete sea horses, glass blocks and murals of tropical scenes

     Due to deterioration of the buildong. It was demolished in 1969.

Union Station Gary, IN

     Union Station in Gary, IN.opened up in 1910. It is located at 251 Broadway. The architect was M. A. Lang.  It is located between the elevated line of Lake Shore and Michigan South Railroad and the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad

     The building style is Beaux Arts. The building is steel reinforced concrete.  It has a flat 

roof and arched windows.  The building has been abandoned since 1970.

     It was listed in the National 

Register of Historic Places June 6, 2019

    Prentiss French Park is located at 500 Manatee Court, Venice Fl.  It was named after landscape architect Prentiss French.  He worked with John Nolen to design the city of Venice

     The park is located at Manatee Court at Narvaezi St.

City Hall Gary Indiana

City Hall Gary, Indiana 

     The Gary, Indiana City Hall was built in 1927.  The original architect was George Maher. His plan was for a Prairie style building. Unfortunately, he passed away before the project could be completed  (suicide).

     His son Phillips Brooks Maher took over the project.  His plan was for a neo classical 4 story building.  There  were Doric colonades  and a dome.
