Radio City

     Radio City Music Hall (aka Radio City) is an entertainment venue and theater located at 1260 Avenue of the Stars within Rockefeller Center.  This is the headquarters of the Rockettes.  It was designed by Edward Durell Stone and Donald Deskey. The style.is Art Deco.  It opened December 27, 1932.

     There are two separate venues in the building–5960 seat music hall is the larger of the two. RKO Roxy Theater is the smaller.

     NBC News is a division of NBC.  It was founded on February 21,1940. It is located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza New York. Broadcast Programs are The Today Show, NBC Nightly.News,Weekend Today, Dateline NBC, Early Today, Today with Jenna and Friends, Meet the Press.

      The first regularly scheduled American Newscast was made by NBC News on February 21,1940 anchored by Lowell Thomas.

Rockfeller Plaza is the heart of.the Rockefeller Complex.  It is situated in mid town Manhattan.  It extends from 48th Street to 51st Street, between 5 th and 6th.Avenues.  It serves.as a backdrop for various artistic displays, seasonal events and public.gatherings.  It is remarkable for many art deco buildings.  It is most famous famous for its skating rink. It is home to many shops, cafes and restaurants.  Art installations and live performances are a standard occurrence.

     Sardi’s is a continental.restaurant located at 234 W. 44th Street in the theater district of New York.  It opened. at its current location on March 5, 1927. Sardi’s is known for.its cariactures of Broadway celebrities.

     Sardi’s was founded by Vince Sardi,Sr and his wife Jenny Pallera.  To attract customers, Sardi hired  Russian refugee,Alex Gard.to draw cariactures of Broadway celebrities

     Following Sardi,Sr.death in 1969, the restaurant.went into a decline.  It was sold in.1986.  It later reopened in 1990.

Bronx Whitestone Bridge

     The Bronx Whitestone Bridge is a suspension type.  It has a 2,300 feet main span between its 2 suspension towers. It carries 6 lanes of traffic  of Interstate 678 over the East River. It connects Thoggs Neck and Ferry Point Park in  the Bronx on the East River north shore with the Whitestone Neighborhood of Queens on the southern shore of.the East River.

    The bridge opened on April 29, 1939.  It was designed by Othmar  Amman and Allston Dana.  Construction costs were 17.5 million

3rd Avenue Bridge

    This bridge is a swing type.  It carries southbound traffic on 3rd Avenue over the Harlem River.  It connects the Burroughs of Manhattan and the Bronx.

     Its total.length.is 2,800 feet. Building costs were in the range of multiple million dollars. The bridge opened on August1,1898.  It was rebuilt on 12/6/2004
