Telfair Academy Savanah, GA
The Telfair Academy is located at 121 Barnard Street, Savannah, Georgia. It was a 2 story masonry structure built of brick finished in stucco. The entrance was a 4 column projecting portico. It was designed by William Jay. It was built in 1818 for Alexander Telfair. The style is English Regancy.
This was originally a family townhouse belonging to.the Telfair family. It became a museum in 1886.
In 1875, the house furnishing and collections were bequeathed to the Georgia Historical Society.
The house was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in may 11, 1970.

Slave trader John S. Montmillon commissioned this building at 23 Barnard Street, Savannah, Georgia to be built in 1855 for his slave trade.
The building is 3 story brick building was used for slave trading from 1850 to 1864.
