Interior Plaza Hotel

     The Plaza Hotel is located at 768 5th Avenue New York.It is on the western side of Grand Avenue  Plaza (This is where the Plaza got its name). It opened on October 1, 1907.

     The Hotel is 18 stories.  The building style is French Renaissance Chateau.   It was designed by Henry Janeway Hardenbergh.  There are 2 lobbies on the ground floor. There is a marble facade at the base. White brick covers the upper storries.  The roof is mansard.  There is an upper floor ballroom.

     Originally, the hotel had 800 guest rooms.  Following the 2008 renovation there were 282 guest rooms and 181 condominiums.

     Until.1943, the Plaza Operating Company managed the hotel.  This company also built the building.  Over subsequent years the  Plaza had multiple owners.

Brill Building New York

Brill Building

    The Brill Building is located at 1619 Broadway New York.  It is an office building built in 1931.  The builder was Abraham E. Lefcourt.  It was designed by Victor Bank. It is 11 stories. The exterior is white brick. The style is art deco.

     This building housed music industry offices and studios.  Some of the most popular American songs were written here.

De la Salle Academy

De la Sale Academy, New York

     The school is located at 332 W. 42nd Street.  It has been.at this location.since 1887.  The school.building is a six story red brick.structure.

     The school  originally was a Catholic one run by the Christian Brothers.  Currently, it is a non secreterian institution for exceptional students who are economically challenged.  It includes 7th and 8th grades.

Al Hirschfeld Theater

    Al Hirschfeld Theater (previously named the Martin Beck Theater) is located at 302 W. 4th Street, New York. It opened in 1924. It was designed for vaudevillian Martin Beck.  It was designed by G. Albert Lansburgh.

    The style is Moorish and Byzantine.  It has a capacity of 1,104 seats.
