Kenosha Orpheum Building

     This 2000 seat theater was opened by Saxe Amusements in 1922.  The architects were  Tullgren and sons.

     In the 1950’s, it was taken over by Fox West Coast theaters.  It was last operated by United Artist Theaters.  In the 1990’s, it was to a 4 Screen theater.  

     In 2015, there was a ice cream shop in the lobby.  The auditorium was used for storage.

Nickell Building 338-340 Main St. Kenosha WI

This building was constructed in 1901 for Addison Nickell , a businessman and jeweler. The architect was CC Anderson. It is a 2 story limestone building. The style is Queen Anne Commercial. There is an arched entrance on the first floor. There are shallow criet windows From 1912 to 1914 the first floor was occupied by the U.S. post office. The Sloan House Waukeshaw, WI

The Sloan House was built in 1841 for William P. Sloan, a lawyer. The contractor was Lyle Goodnow. In 1849, the house was deeded to Nelson Burrough, owner of a hardware store. House was then sold to Dr. Cadbury in 1886. House was moved from corner of Main and Barstow to its current location
